Refund Policy
Last updated Oct 17, 2026
We build custom software to order, so this policy describes how deposits, milestones and cancellations work rather than a returns window. It applies to every engagement unless your signed agreement says otherwise. Where the two differ, your agreement takes precedence.
Deposits
Projects begin with a deposit that reserves capacity in our schedule and covers discovery work. Once discovery has started the deposit is non-refundable, because that work has already been performed and delivered to you.
Milestone payments
Larger projects are billed against milestones agreed in writing before work starts. Each milestone is invoiced when its deliverable is submitted for your review. If you accept a milestone, that payment is final.
If you cancel
You may cancel a project at any time by writing to us. You will be invoiced for work completed up to the cancellation date and for any non-recoverable third-party costs already committed on your behalf (licences, hosting, paid APIs). Anything you have already paid that exceeds this amount is refunded to you within 14 days.
If we cannot deliver
If we are unable to complete an agreed deliverable, we will either correct it at no additional cost or refund the payment for that milestone in full, at your choice.
Revisions and scope
Each deliverable includes the revision rounds named in your agreement. Work that falls outside the agreed scope is quoted separately and is never billed without your written approval first. Dissatisfaction with a deliverable is resolved through the revision process rather than by refund.
Third-party costs
Domain registrations, hosting, licences and paid third-party services are passed through at cost and are governed by those providers' own refund terms. We cannot refund what we cannot recover.
Raising a dispute
If you are unhappy with any invoice or deliverable, contact us before the payment due date and we will work through it with you directly.
